This is Judah washed-up say - gonna be ready to launch my fellow hack-and-slash junkies it doesn't get much better than the dynasty warrior series for copious amounts of total battle
control and riveting storylines that will have you hooked on your console for hours but do you know what's better replacing the same old Chinese generals and their armies on the Romance of the
Three Kingdoms storyline with gigantic mecca's known as mobile suits from that timeless space-age anime known as Mobile Suit Gundam if this tickles your fancy you might want to run out and get
a copy of dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 developed by the good folks at Co a and Omega force and published by Namco Bandai Games for ps3 also for ps2 and Xbox 360 I would like to give a special
thanks to my friend David in Ohio for this contribution for the CGR undertow studios if you've been following me long enough you'll know that no matter how mindless and repetitive a hack and
slash like the dynasty warrior series may seem for the more nitpicky gamer I will always defend the notion that blowing away an entire army of Zaku tanks never gets old dynasty Warriors
Gundam 2 follows along with the framework of the dynasty warrior series you can select from over 60 mobile suits from variations of the Gundam anime typically you'll start playing in
either official or mission modes official mode will take you through the universal century timeline which covers plot lines of Mobile Suit Gundam Zeta Gundam double Zeta and the chars
counter-attack movie how did I end up getting dragged into a war but you've got to eat armor oh you're the only one who can pilot the Gundam mission mode is a little less linear and offers the
player more choices as to where the story goes with different playable characters and mobile suit customization but gameplay for either is quite similar once you're thrust
into the middle of battle with your Mobile Suit you'll discover that all-too-familiar hack and slash style all over again and it's repetitive greatness requesting immediate status
report attack combos can be activated just as you would in regular dynasty warriors but there is the addition of the charge attack where you hold down the square button to bud your attack
power and then released it in a blast of fury the game does well to include elements of the story whenever appropriate which adds life to the static style of gameplay I don't care
if it's a war I'm going to save Lina one feature I liked a lot is the QuickTime events if you happen to strike your opponent at the same time as he does you you will have to follow
the button sequence that shows up on the screen in order to overpower your adversary and gain the upper hand in combat as you progress with your character your Mobile Suit will get
stronger and you will have access to more weapons which is pretty much standard routine for dynasty warriors titles my biggest disappointment was the lack of Japanese voice track from
the first dynasty warriors Gundam title just like when I am watching anime I prefer to have subtitles and original voice actors also trying to follow along with the story is kind of tough
when you are in a die-hard Gundam fan but I felt the same way with the original dynasty warriors so I just put all my eggs into the hack-and-slash basket and pay more attention to the
pretty graphics and the undisputed amount of detail put into making each mobile suit look as flashy and powerful as possible and suddenly
I'm not so disappointed anymore nice work judo our gamma is approaching the drop zone all hands Amuro let's do it you.
