Zenta Maurina
Zenta Maurina was a Latvian translator, writer and essayist.
She has written numerous books in Latvian. She has written numerous essays on various writers. In 1944 she fled Latvia and in exile published numerous books in German. Some of her works have also been translated into Swedish, Dutch and Italian.
Zenta Maurina has been honoured with a permanent exhibition at the Bad Krozingen City Museum since 2013. Her living and working area has been reproduced in one room. Her books and personal exhibits of the writer are also exhibited there.

Zenta Maurina
Zenta Maurina war eine lettische Übersetzerin, Schriftstellerin und Essayistin.
Sie schrieb zahlreiche Bücher in lettischer Sprache. Darunter auch zahlreiche Abhandlungen über verschiedene Schriftsteller. 1944 floh sie aus Lettland und veröffentlichte im Exil zahlreiche Bücher auch auf Deutsch. Einige ihrer Werke wurden auch ins schwedische, Niederländische und Italienische übersetzt.
Im Stadtmuseum von Bad Krozingen wird Zenta Maurina seit 2013 mit einer Dauerausstellung gewürdigt. In einem Raum wurde ihr Wohn- und Arbeitsbereich nachgebaut. Dort sind auch ihre Bücher und persönliche Exponate der Schriftstellerin ausgestellt.
