She Is My Understanding

I have searched for the light in my inner darkness

Sat still in mind and body accepting her as best

She gave me "nothing" as a challenge, not a test

And when the moment came I was in her arms and blessed

She speaks to me through nature now, so that I can stand

Upon my own two feet, walk in power and understand

There is reason to fear our fire blazing hot in passion grand

But the moment you see the circled rocks I've set

You'll find warmth and comfort here and sleep dreaming

Till the sunrise is that fire and the rocks spiral out as land

Your waves so strong that pound at my rocky shore

Are like howling winds a knocking at an ancient door

When creaking hinges loosen we'll be afraid no more

See our self in each other and laugh and then explore
