I was fortunate to spend Easter with some of my favorite relatives. In addition to a fantastic meal (as usual), we observed an emerging tradition, which is to end our get-togethers with a movie night. The unspoken or semi-spoken rules are still emerging, but generally we watch a movie that was released in the late '50s, or the 1960s or 1970s. Often (but not always), these are movies we saw many times while we were growing up.
This Easter we saw One Million Years B.C. Because Easter, ham and other good foods, family, dinosaurs, Ray Harryhausen special effects, Raquel Welch in a fur bikini ... these all go together.
The music for the movie was also pretty good, and has been stuck in my head ever since.
