Sitting In Low Clouds Onshore Winds Long Island's Raw Spring
Clouds are going to be very stubborn over Long Island over the next couple of days though every once in awhile the sun does manage to poke its nose through. An onshore flow is set and we are basically waiting for a warm front to move through here. This can often times be a challenging if not impossible task. As a result temperatures today may try to nose into the lower 50s at some point.
Everyone seems to be sitting in the lower 40s this morning and the winds are mostly light southwesterly which is got an ocean component to it. Im thinking that upper 40s and lower 50s should do it for high temperatures and that may not come until later this evening.

We are watching some patchy showers on the radar overhead and to the west of us. Some will move through from time to time but they are scattered in nature and not likely to cause any serious issues through tonight. Some fog may develop overnight into Thursday morning. Later Thursday it is a matter of whether we can get the warm air in here and the warm front to our north. Highs should at least be in the 50s. Some showers move in Thursday night into Friday morning. Friday may actually be the warmer day once the cold front passes as we should see improving weather conditions here during the afternoon. We could make a run for 60 degrees. Passover begins Friday evening with no serious weather issues as skies clear.
The weekend looks ok. Sun and clouds for Saturday with highs in the 50s. Easter Sunday will start with some clouds and a passing shower with a cold front but then we should see some sun. Highs will be also in the 50s.
