For the easydex photo challenge this week it was not that difficult to choose which building would participate in the challenge. The most significant building here is and remains Castle Heeswijk of course. Although I had my doubts about the Abbey of Berne. Both buildings are known in the wider area here, but in the end it has become the Castle.
In short ... The history of Castle Heeswijk is a long eventful history, going back to about the year 1080! And the last real resident died in 1994. Since then, the Castle has been owned by the Kasteel Heeswijk foundation.
