Wacoinda is a growing community of contributors that serve a fast-growing public of knowledge seekers, innovators, gurus and more. Daily the community is gaining more and more knowledge about the economic impacts of the past, the projections of the future and what can be done about it today to make a difference. Wacoindans get, give and show love on a daily basis, be it through the sharing of the community currency (Garvey) or through support and ongoing education. There’s no slowing down this mission-driven community of great minds, innovators, and executors; whose combined contributions of love, togetherness and community will target the eradication of economic oppression and kick-start a new beginning on a leveled playing field.
Affectionately called “Wacoindans”, the group stresses the importance of benefitting from a collaborative structure. This diverse group of individuals cover the gamut, from Ph.D.’s to Financial Professionals to those who are currently unemployed. Unlike most Facebooks groups, this community does not have published rules. The community is self-governed. This is an important principle that the beginning founders intentionally foster. As a Wacoindan, each person is responsible for maintaining an environment of respect and openness. Wacoindans know that their value, both individually and corporately, is rooted in patient, consistent, togetherness.
Starting with just 400 people, Wacoinda emphasizes the concept of collaborative progress through sharing. On any given day, you will find a variety of discussions amongst the members as they seek to define and address economic oppression. With education as a pillar with the group, the philosophy of the Wacoindans is to pool their knowledge and experiences to help those who want to be educated about this dire situation.
Economic oppression is fostered through ignorance and the Wacoinda community meets this issue head on. Along with fun games and through just free will giving the community comes together to teach and grasp the workings of a decentralized economy. It has already established an inventive way to discuss the sometimes complicated blockchain technology using the community currency called the Garvey and the CJ. The Garvey is named after Marcus Garvey, the Black Nationalist who was the leader of a mass movement called Pan-Africanism and the larger denomination is named after Madame CJ Walker the first self-made Millionaire African-American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a political and social activist. The Garvey’s/CJs’ s first goal is to introduce many people who previously had no experience to the world of an alternative type of currency. An example of how the Wacoinda community takes theory to practice is the Wacoinda Marketplace. Merchants with a variety of goods and services can provide discounts in exchange with using the community currency.
Outside of a general understanding of buying and selling the community also engages with each other to discuss this and other emerging ideas. As when the group completed the book The Bitcoin Standard : The Decentralized Alternative to Central Banking. During a live Facebook discussion Wacoindans asked questions and shared their views on what it a decentralized economy means for the common individual. But the group extends beyond just the discussion of cryptocurrency. This is merely one of the avenues being explored as part of a larger conversation about true economic freedom.
Much more than a name, the Wacoinda community exists in real life to address real issues that affect real life people. It is more than a pastime. It is more than just entertainment. Love is the cornerstone of this community which seeks to serve everyone who is affected by economic disparity. Leading with love allows the group to continue to move forward united in their ultimate purpose. The plan for influence goes beyond just the reach or intent of a fictional place to benefiting the real life sustainability of solutions for generations to come.
The hallmark of this group is its ability to combine its intellectual and experiential power to benefit the greater good. The purpose and the mission of the Wacoinda community is clear. It is committed to the eradication of economic oppression through love and collaboration. And that is not fiction that is fact.
