Children in the Quebec program experienced increased rates of anxiety and decreased social and motor skills compared to children elsewhere in Canada where this program was not offered.
It should be clear to everyone at this point that economies are complicated things that cannot be efficiently centrally managed. In addition, the government does not know what is best for everyone. Stealing more money from everyone to provide a service to everyone does not automatically make lives better and did not in this case. There's no reason to believe Elizabeth Warren't "plan" would work any better.
