A reply to ... Irrational Globalist Democrats may take the U.S. in a final act of financial self immolation.
This is very good subject matter ..your description of current conditions and predictions of future outcomes are undoubtedly mostly accurate, but I think your assessment of the causes is not entirely correct or at the least it is incomplete .. this is not about Democrats, or leftism, it's about BOTH Democrats and Republicans, and the only philosophy is the pursuit of money & power.
Blaming government is easy, I do it all the time ..lol . but let's be fair ..government assistance to help people recover from the mortgage SCAM run by banks in a deregulated environment, on George W Bush's watch, can not be blamed for lack of affordable housing ..perhaps you should first look to the lack of a survivable min wage, and medium & big business constantly working to erode the rights of workers. Government 'is' to blame at that point, because they refuse to act in support of working people, instead they say .. "we can't do anything about it! It will put too much pressure on business .. it's a job killer!" .. to that I say, "Horseshit!".
Oh no, sounds like commie talk!? Noo.. if we had a true unmanipulated marketplace for all things, I do believe we would have fairer outcomes with less need to regulate or pass laws to protect people from the unscrupulous ..but we do not have that. Instead we have a corrupt government protecting corrupt profit vampires, that relationship is symbiotic ..the relationship with us ? ..parasitic!
Regarding Obamacare ..the costs are out of control because there has been no successful move by government to go after the massive profits being made by HMOs standing between patients and health care professionals, and of course the ...they are meddlers, vultures! ..and they make a stinkload off of the misery of average folk. Obamacare couldn't do anything about that ..because such a thing is VERBOTEN!
You use the word socialism, wrongly, to describe something very real, and yes I agree the Globalists are to blame for lost industry ..but you have to look harder to see the real instigators ..the real beneficiares of these crimes ..
Government doing the bidding of a relatively large group of profit seeking corporate entities, who have a great deal of money to throw around and who do not care at all about the plight of 'average folk' ..when government power and corporate goals climb into bed together ...when borders are ignored, so this same group can grow even richer ..causing massive job loss and decreased security for "average folk" ...it is called something else .. it starts with an "F" ..and rhymes with ..'we're totally fucked '.
You are right, capitalism in order to properly function includes the costs people, workers, need to live, thrive, and prosper. It is the abuse by corruption, especially corrupt politicians that sometimes gives capitalism a bad name.
As far as whether or not things will be horrible, I think the day might be saved because Trump knows how to play the game. And after it all, it is God that must be answered in order for liberty, freedom, and prosperity to be the state of the nation again. There is no doubt his hand is in calamity, or rather he restrains his hand from calamity striking merely because He is ignored, even lambasted. So, the end result will be, "All's good." It always works out in the end with God.

One mistake I may have made in the article is not going deeper into the Fannie Mae story, but I was being brief... The Federal Reserve bailed out Fannie Mae by buying up the distressed properties. This has the effect of taking them off the market, which was one of the stated goals. The Federal Reserve still has all of this stuff but isn't in the business of selling real estate. To get it sold, it should be resold back where it came from. This overhang of distressed property also dogs the Federal Reserves balance sheet, which is enourmous.
This is all quite unnatural and leads to market distortions, price discovery is being frustrated, though this is a temporary phenomenon. The markets will eventually recover and overwhelm the machinations of the Federal Government through runaway deflation of housing prices due to oversupply of houses and an undersupply of millenials and others with sufficient income to purchase at current inflated prices. I regard anything that looks like central control (anti-free market) as having a 'Socialist' flavor. The Globalists set the policies, I see them as sort of Communism 2.0, cleaner, tech savy, into 'soft power', but just as collectivist in spirit.
Obamacare has problems with profits because of Monopolies, which is why I specifically mentioned Anti-Trust early in the article. I don't believe the government has any idea what a medical procedure should cost, I would not trust them to 'define' the costs. You use the free market for that, but first you have to restore a free market and break up the medical monopolies and force competition again.
Competition seems to be an idea that has fallen out of favor, it's not mentioned in the media except in regards to sports events, it's too threatening for the Establishment to contemplate ordinary people considering competition to be the normal state of affairs in business...so it's never suggested or even mentioned as a solution to runaway prices in anything.
But I do agree with you in the end, we're screwed...
