Examining economics solely from the perspective of the consumer leads to blind consumerism.

Imagine an economy where there is nothing but Amazon.com. It is an easy world for consumers. One scrolls through Amazon.com (the only web site left on the planet). They click on products and have an Amazon.com drone fly out of the sky and drop the item directly in the mouth of the consumer.

It sounds like paradise, but the economy would essentially be dead.

I find economic quandaries much more interesting when I ask the question from the perspective of owners.

Imagine a world with billions of people who see themselves as owners interacting with other owners.

When this happens the economy becomes robust.
