The EMP attack is what really worries the hell out of me. It is truly terrifying how much of our daily resources are trucked in from distant farms and such. One of the best books I've read in the past 2 years has been "One Second After" by William R. Forstchen. If nothing else you'll love it if you like the apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic genres. But the real value is in it's story telling of what amounts to an evaluation of what could happen in the event of an EMP attack. Probably most troublesome is that it is set in a community that is pretty well off to handle it considering. Being in a large city like NYC, LA, or Chicago would be absolutely hellish to say the least.
