Agricultural practices are not always right. Monoculture for the example. It would be problems for environmental aspect, where farmers just plant current crops. It is found in one of hilly region in Bandung, Indonesia.
According many farmers at that region, it is caused by land ownership. Many of farmers there have no land. In fact, they are just to be farmer workers. Meanwhile, the crop that always being planted are vegetables, cabbages for example.

That monoculture evokes many problems. Such as erosion, mud flood for downhill region, lack of water, even cultural poverty.
Based on the picture below, we could see how the hill almost lose trees at all.

To save the nature as well as farmer's livelihood, a social institution, Odesa Indonesia is giving many perennials massively free for them. According odesa.id that the hill has to be planted about 10 million trees.
That step would not burden the farmers, who basically work as the vegetables farmers. Then, to do this movement #odesaindonesia engages any elements, either the ordinary civil or industries.
