Extreme weather in early 2020

Hi Steemian how are you? Hopefully always healthy and creative work.
The year has changed from 2019 to 2020. many people might get special gifts. however, it turned out that in various regions of Indonesia, they received disaster gifts. The weather became very extreme with very heavy rainfall. As a result, floods occur everywhere. even in Jakarta as the capital of the country flooding almost all regions.
Of course we cannot blame nature. When climate change is very drastic it is very possible that weather patterns occur. When I was a child, I could tell that January was the month that would be filled with rain all day long. But we are all happy because we consider rain as a mercy. But now what happens is that rainfall is so large that water reservoirs are no longer able to accommodate. A river that is increasingly shallow is no longer able to drain water so that it overflows to settlements.
Everything that is happening right now is actually the fruit of what we have done. During this time we are always ignorant of our bad habits. We still think river is a giant junior high school that will be able to accommodate all types of waste. We also stole the river bank which was supposed to be a green land supporting the river. we change the function to become a residence.

Valuable lessons

Behind all the disasters that hit us we must be able to take wisdom. There are always interesting lessons and are very valuable when we are overwritten by a problem.
1. Togetherness
When a disaster strikes a region as a whole everyone is in the same boat. No matter rich or poor will need help. maybe the rich will realize that they need to get along with people they don't have.

2. Discretion in action
When disaster strikes, everyone remembers what was done carelessly. When a disaster occurs, it will be a reminder that we will not just do it without thinking. this must be developed with a good attitude so that once the disaster has passed we will not repeat the same mistakes.

3. Concern
When disaster strikes, empathy will emerge to the victim. Then it will arouse enthusiasm and awareness of social solidarity. Residents who are not affected by disasters will send assistance to the area affected by the disasters.

4. Need to be friendly with nature
When disaster occurs, we must be fully aware that we have not paid attention to nature. The resources that we take up so that there is no natural opportunity to break create disasters. this must all be returned to us. Are we going to act more wisely or as they wish.
Hopefully we will realize the need to be friendly with nature so that in the future there will be no greater disaster.
