Working on the Manifesto of our eco village!

My first draft for the manifesto of our eco-village! What do you think...?

We live in a world of extreme separation and destruction. The economic system we base our society on, has lead to severe damage of the ecosystems and well being of the planet and of human relations, while most people feel utterly disconnected from nature and from their inner being.
In the daily lives we live in society, it is almost impossible not to buy into the destruction of our planet - from the food we consume, the transportation we use, the hours we are forced working for a cause that is not our own and the technology we are sucked in to to pass our boredom.

We deeply wish to create an alternative, and believe that all the different eco villages, transition movements and green alternatives, together can create a fleet towards a more sustainable future of interbeing and connection.

We want to create a space for alternative solutions in areas like energy, work, child care, food and entertainment.
We believe that direct connection to nature, the products we use, the food we eat and the people who do jobs for us, is a key factor to more well being and understanding of the world around us.

We want to work towards being off-grid and harvest energy from natural resources, to avoid paying bills to big companies and fossil fuels and to drink cleaner water.
By bringing food production and childcare back to the village, we need to work less for money and there will be less waste, due to packaging and transportation. We can have more contact with our children, without feeling isolated and alone, because we will have the whole tribe to support us, and there will always be a playmate nearby!
In the same way, we can also support and take care of our elders in a respectful way and benefit from their knowledge and experience.
We can combine our skills and work forces to complete tasks we would otherwise pay someone to do. In that way we will learn more and have a deeper relationship with the work done.
We can sing, play and dance together and relax in silence or with the sounds of the forest.

But we don't want to isolate ourselves.

The village will also be a place open for everyone! We will create skill-sharing workshops, concerts, communal dinners and one project is to create a cleansing bath house with forest view! The general idea is to create more connection between people and the natural world, with more eco-friendly solutions to everything. We want to share this with everyone and learn from everyone.
