Educate in Values ​​from the Computer Classroom

From my learning space (Computer Classroom), I reinforce the values ​​in the students so that they can identify them and thus help to form good people and although it is a difficult task it is not impossible, we have as teachers to be clear that we must be methodologically prepared to achieve this goal. Personally, I make plans that allow the rescue of values ​​in students such as: respect, because it transcends all areas, cognitive, effective and moral, and is constituted by a will of the spirit. Tolerance, which today is very important in our society, because with it we accept the diversity of ideas, opinions and actions, as long as they do not attack with respect. Solidarity, because it helps the student to become sensitive to the pain of others and the problems of others, to understand that we must be in solidarity with each other in order to help us survive the current situation. Empathy allows integrating the previous values ​​and promotes the meeting between students. I add to these values, such as participation, honesty, national identity, cooperation and justice.

I make my plans to educate values ​​with information and communication technologies (ICT) taking into account prosocial behaviors, respect for others, personal responsibility and reflective criticism to promote the development and internalization of values ​​in students through methods , techniques and diverse activities in the computer classroom in the following way:

I use TV and DVD, to show films, videos, reflections, stories and / or fables, as they are teaching resources to teach students through observation, understand and make critical and creative reflections of the universal values ​​that are transmitted through means of the messages that are transmitted to reinforce values ​​and develop as an intellectually reflective person. This strategy drives the values ​​I want to teach students through the emotions of enjoyment, of laughing and crying. In the computer, students read stories, since they are literary genres of greater acceptance in all ages, they are an extraordinary carrier of formative messages, since it is an integration of ethical values ​​that helps students on the correct path of life, which allows them to secure universal values ​​such as honesty, justice, dignity, solidarity and tolerance among others.

I always take into account the incorporation of values ​​in educational content, especially in the activities, where students perform: Comprehensive and simple readings about values ​​and why it is important to exalt these values. Free and spontaneous productions of stories, fables and / or stories with values ​​such as: love, respect, sensitivity, peace, equality and any other value that he considers important. Through images, photographs, or any graphic material, where the student interprets the values. And I deepen in them the transversal axes, the internalization and conscious exteriorization of the values ​​that allow an atmosphere of respect and freedom, the full development of their personality. With work experience I have observed significant changes in the students as they reinforce the values ​​in them, they improve the school performance, they grow and make possible the harmonious development of all their qualities, they improve the confidence in themselves, they decrease the conflictivity.
