If the plan of your studies assumes exams in the history of economic thought or linear algebra with analytic geometry, then the University of Lynchburghas an interesting alternative for you. One of the seminars conducted there concerns about young wizard from Hogwarts.

I think everyone would like to read "Harry Potter" with impunity as part of their student activities. Located in Virginia, the university decided to allow this.

The subject entitled "Harry Potter and the Good Life” is to combine the study of books about a wizard from London who interprets classical philosophical positions. Stories about wizards are to be the starting point for a discussion about fundamental concepts such as virtue, good and evil or courage. Curse present the philosophical concepts of Plato, Aristotle and Socrates and allows students to confront them with a series of books by J.K. Rowling.

”Harry Potter and the Good Life” is not the only innovative subject run by the University of Lynchburg. From the new academic year, students of the American university will also be able to choose from such classes as “How Does Music Start a Revolution?” or “Humans vs. Robots: A Survival Guide”.

This is very cool, @anaerwu! I've heard of numerous universities and colleges in the United States and Canada offering courses in competitive / video games; at the University of British Columbia, they even had a literature course that analyzed George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, as well as HBO's Game of Thrones. But Harry Potter? I am very curious to know how interpreting philosophical positions will play out. Out of curiosity, how did you hear about this? Thanks for sharing this cool news with us!
