Structural Anatomy

The human body is a very good example of a structure. Let's consider a man carrying a pot on his head and a bucket on his arm.

Note the sequence

  1. Head must be able to support and transfer to
    neck,

  2. Neck transfers to the trunk - vertebral column,

  3. Arm must stay horizontal to be able to
    transfer to trunk

  4. Trunk shares to the two legs

  5. Legs transfers to feet

  6. Feet transfers to ground - like pad footings do.

This is how loads are distributed in structures say a building 🏢BeautyPlus_20180707085158984_save.jpg
