This issue of education is a cognitive sine quano for the development of the society in all ramification. One who is well educated is distinguish in character and learning. What then will become of the society without the education of the female child?
Unfortunately, our society is still entangled in the web of battle of girl child education which is yet to be won.

Women are still treated as second class citizens in most African countries, most of them spend their youthful age as housemaids and in many cases they end up as child. Wives.

In Nigeria for instance a larger percentage of girls in the northern part of the country cannot read and write. While there are lesser percentage of girls out of school in the southern region of the country.

Girls child education then involves integral formation which enhances the development and cultualilization of potentials of the girls child. It Entels a holistic education in institutions of learning that will enable the women folks overcome certain cultural organization in the society and make great impact in building up a nation.
However it is very disheartening and saddening that our society still lends believe to the answering belief that educating the female child makes them equal to the man and even powerful beyond imagination. In this same vein, denying the girl child is a dissemination against women which ranks equally with rape, domestic violence, and other forms of violence against women.

As a matter of fact the importance of girl child education should not be overemphasized. This is because education is the key that unlocks human potentials and translate them to reality. The education of the female child who is the mother of tommorow is very imperative. This is because it will help them to cope with the modern upbringing of the children.
