Education: the reconditioning of man

in education •  8 years ago

In America, we are taught to "pledge allegiance" to a flag. We are taught to obey and never be late. We are conditioned into dependence of a system that only portrays "independence" but their subliminal actions are brought to light more and more with a big thanks to social media.

I believe the human race has become the worst of infestations to this floating rock and we will continue as such until we change the core of our ethics.

Yes, we can change.

Education is the answer and it cannot come from a federally funded system to keep the poor opressed and the rich... well, rich.

I believe the fundementals of education should be based on cultivating land, water and mind.

These are minimal topics in our current educational system.

We can cover the necessaries with basic agriculture. Mathematics, science, communications, networking and fair trade are all valuable 'life' skills that can be administered through cultivating what the very earth we were blessed to be born to gives us.

Cultivating the mind is a lot more difficult because lets face it, each breathing creature has their own set of morals (laws), unique vision and lives a different 'reality.'

I believe a huge step for man kind would be to iterate that into their conditioning. Most everyone grew with some form of direction as to what is right and what is wrong. Religion, government, skin complexion, sexual preference, ideologies, etc.

If we can insert some form of knowledge that each individual has their own perception of "what is" and that it is okay to be different through out the best learning years of our life, i believe the world would be so much more at peace.

Teaching u.s. history is like beating a dead horse. Ask any native american indian. The fact that schools are out for Columbus day is an absolute atrocity.

The worst is the fact that our children, our future, are graduating without any real sense of what reality is or how to accomplish anything besides going in to debt.

This must change if we are to even consider a prosperous future.
