Between creative studio and Innovation R&D, it is nearly a month now that the fourth quardrimester and 4th cycle @Globalschool is running this year. Our first group is away and we already miss them all!

Supported by Erasmus+, a program of the European Union targeting youth education and mobility, in September 6 media students and 6 graphic designers joined the Globalschool in Vienna, Austria. The group came from Hungary for 3 weeks of practice in their respective field.

Globalschool Report September 2018 (short version)

On the side of the administration/back office led by @manncpt, the PR work taken over by @mammasitta and the nearly full time dedication of the tutor (me in this case), @globalschool talent pool get the big support of @gexi who is actively empowering the participant on a daily basis offline and online. Here what the participants achieved thanks to such incredible help. Let's have a look!

After dedicating on learning about blockchain and particularly Steem and the platform steemit, the participant nearly focused full time on the realization of the communication material to support the Lotus Charity event, a project of @artcanhelp aiming to raise awareness against the FGM topic through art and live performences. For that project the students realized a quantity of media as you can discover below.

Second week

On the second week, additionally to the graphic designers and media students joined also a group of 6 IT students from Hungary. The first group, especially the media students already there for a week and were ready to lead a small team with other comptences.

I have to confess it has been a huge challenge to cooperate with the new group as they nearly couldnt speak English neither German. I thought with Manuel and the first group that we could not achieve anything with them as additionally the behavior of the half of the group was not showing any motivation or interest while also creating a weird group dynamic. However we have been really surprized the next weeks by the achievements of 3 of them who made an amazing work in 3d modelization while using such tool for the first time.

On the 3rd week a second group of 11 IT students arrived. Some of the most focused graphic designers did not loose their motivation and performed to the end. Here some of their last work:

Gergely finalized the modelization of travelshack alone ... Here some previews of his work without final textures or light work.

Monika made an amazing work in designing an animated character for a version of iAme chatbot.

As Monika made an awesome cute design, I could not resist to ask her also to create a character to illustrate a personal biography. Here som of the sketches, the colored version are awesome, I'll publish them in a future post.

What to expect next?

The fourth week started, on Monday 4 mechatronics students and 8 graphic designers joined us, next week they will be supported by 11 Advertising and photo students. Hopefully we will be ready to promote the forthcoming @globalschool, @com-lab, @frameworks, the Nomadic Agency offer and much more the team will be launching soon to sustain the project and offer better equipement and resources to future participants.

The mechatronics students decided to focus on a project to apply to the CanSat competition with a satellite/drone for which they are developing use-cases for the future of travel and learning platform in cooperation with Dr. Philipe Reinisch (@silkroad40). I can't wait to share you more about this and a lot of more!
