Poverty and it's root.

Poverty, who created it. The rich will say it's a mindset whiles the poor will blame the rich. I believe that's how it has been defined for centuries now. I'm not here to redefine it but to shed more light on the issue so my fellow youngsters who are about to experience life will know for sure what poverty really is.

To me, I'll always agree with the rich. It's a state of mind. It's something one unconsciously accepts from childhood to death if they are not kicked out of their comfort zones. Poverty begins from the mind. Today, I see a lot of young individuals who are leaving lifestyles that will undoubtedly lead them to povertyland.

Here is why?

They spend what they don't have , think only about themselves and live for only today.
If you're in these habits and you desire to leave a better life someday, my advise to you is to stop and start seeking help.
Always remember, God has nothing to do with your bank accounts. Pray all you want, it only works if you do what is necessary.
If my words seem offensive ,forgive me and then think about this. “What if all the above is right"?

You weren't offensive at all. You said it as it is and I like that. Some people think they'll ask the God or the Universe and it will be given to them. That's not the truth. We must put in some work and sacrifice a lot in order to live a better life. Nothing in life comes easy but those who are willing to accept it will eventually score. You made some great point here. Thanks

I'm glad you understand my point of view. It really saddens my heart when I hear some older people trying to pray the misfortunes away and never put in any work. I even feel more sadness for the children of such people as they are going to grow up believing in that same ideas. I think it's time we changed our curriculum. I don't know how the western world does theirs but for my continent, I think stuffs like financial empowerment should be taught regularly else history will always repeat itself.

You are spot on... Straight forward without any b.s. It's a mind thing. An unplanned life is a purposeless life. I see young people spending as though they have it all yet they have no savings whatsoever to fall back on. If disaster strikes, they are finished!

That's exactly my worry. Some hide behind excuses such as "YOLO" to leave such deadly lifestyles. I believe this life is and always will be unfair but if you are humble enough to learn from those who are living it to the fullest, you 'll have your share of joy when the time comes. It's all about sacrifices in the beginning. Thank you for passing by.

Exactly my thoughts. But it can all be changed if we put in the work.

That's very true. People should really change their way of thinking. What griefs my heart is that after squandering their little earnings and
returning to square one, then they start to blame the rich, like @kwakumax mentioned
