Parents more than 69% on the side of punishment in BD||Education

Children of educational institutions are being subjected to rattan, duster, physical torture on scale and mentally tortured. A study conducted by Blast said that "for disciplining," 69 percent of parents and parents of this torture have the right to believe.

Legal aid provider Blast works in 25 districts of the country. This research was conducted in their work area in 2016. Today, in the CIRDAP auditorium of the capital, Blast and Save the Children public hearings about the 'Physical and emotional punishment for child rights protection'. The information of the research was presented at the public hearing.
55 percent of the parents think that punishment brings the child to a better path. 27 percent believe that if children are not punished then the children are told and 25 percent of them think that if children punish, the children listen to the teachers.

There are various aspects of social, emotional and legal issues related to physical and mental torture towards children. The context of several events is also highlighted. Representatives of the civil society, representatives of the National Human Rights Commission, representatives of lawyers, donor agencies, journalists, teachers, psychologists and the victims of this public hearing participated here.

Rasheda K. Chowdhury, Executive Director of the People's War of the Jury Board participated in the discussion. He said, "Those who train teachers, they are very much aware of themselves. The question remains. Torture was not stopped, but physical torture was stopped. Policymakers will come forward in this regard. '
Former judge Nizamul Haque said in the presidential address, the guardians should come out of the idea that children will not be human if they do not have any hands.

Acting editor of daily Ittefaq Tasima Hossain said, "There are laws, but it is not implemented. Children will not be punished, they must be understood with love. We have to prepare the mentality to correct the mistakes. '
In the discussion, a guardian said, it is better not to use the term punishment in children. Because, children are not guilty, they make mistakes.

Facilitator High School Principal Momena Begum said children should be mixed with identifying their mental problems.
Blatter's Board of Trustees member Z.I Khan, Save the Children Ekramul Kabir, Human Development Initiative President Kazi Faruq Ahmed, among others spoke on the occasion.
