Traditional schools teach to the tool instead of to the problem. They teach you mathematics instead of teaching you why you should learn it and what kind of problems it can help you solve.
Instead of saying you need to learn math they should be teaching us how to solve big problems like interstellar space travel and how math can be used to find a solution.
