Education for rural people : An important factor for sustainable development

in education •  8 years ago

Education and sustainable development both are intertwined with each other. Education is the backbone of the economy and sustainable development is base for balanced economic development. As more than half of the India’s populations live in villages, rural development is an eminent factor for the inclusive development. The government of India implemented the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act or Right to Education Act (RTE) on 1st April, 2010 and with this India became one amongst the 135 countries to make education a fundamental right of every child.

The educational progress of a country depends upon the parallel developments in primary, secondary and higher education sector.
