Yesterday I've wrote that every child is talented. Today I will write a few steps that will help us as parents discover their talents. Here are some things that parents can do to promote children's talents at an early age. Start by putting these questions:

  • Around which activities does the child gravitate?

  • What does she choose to do in her free time?

  • What activities excite him at school and at home?

  • What do they like to talk about most of the time?

  • On what materials he work with pleasure and have school performance?
After you receive your answers, give them the opportunities to explore and cultivate it!

Give them time to explore, practice, fail and try again. Give them at least an hour or two each day, as free time to do what they want. Then connect yourself with the child's interests. Go with them to museums, cultural and sports events. Observe what activities he performs easily and make him feel happy. But remember that they may change over time. So keep an eye on them as they grows. Avoid overworking in extracurricular activities, concentrate on those who demonstrate skills and make them enjoy it. A good clue is to observe how long they study for certain subjects at school, and what subjects they finish faster?

Give them materials/tools. When you begin to notice a steady interest, constant ability, give them the material support. For example, if your child likes music, ask someone to teach him how to play piano, violin or other instruments. The best time to learn how to play at a musical instrument is between three and ten years. Give him access to many books, if he likes to read. If he likes to write buy draw pencils and paper or a computer, if he wants to cook, provide the ingredients and the recipes.

Space - every home requires a personalized space where you can do meaningful things. Making a special place for his passion - a table, a musical area, a box of utensils.

Mentor /Teacher - Maybe you can't as a parent help your children to do what they likes. So you need to hire someone with experience and knowledge who can teach them skiing, skating, swimming, music, theater, running, tennis, math, foreign languages, computer science, and many others. Enrolled them in what course you want, and see what preference they have.

Encouragement - your child always needs your support. Even if you don't have the same interests or abilities, encourage your child in what he learns and does. If he draws planes, stars or watches the sky to see what's going on, take him to the airport or the astronomical observer.

Try to cultivate these interests until your children can reach the stage of passion and then in future, why not, this will become a profession.

Do not forget! Do not put your own dreams on your child's shoulders. Give them wings and they will fly!
