Ages into Eons
We tolerate authority to defy logic, historical and archeological evidence, even currently observed phenomena to set before us mere notions as laws and principles, always with a drift towards agenda or minimalist view and always limiting in perspective. We see clearly today such a drift in media but is it not also in “science” and in the very disciplines that create the tools this science uses to win over a perception its findings are true? But then the disparities contradict such a presumption on truth at every turn where self-interest and political bias become influential.
So what fills in for these lackings? To keep the price of admission paid as students storm the citadels of higher education (supposedly made fit by public and private schools.) Nothing more than to possess the favor of “credentials,” some pat on the head of a degree or other certificate of completeness. What does that become after a few years of practice in any profession, when the “completed one” retires from keeping up research and its new discoveries to abide only one basic theory of modus operandi behind how “everything must work” in his/her field? Nothing but arrogance in the unwarranted belief of being learned. Something that new findings, new concepts and new challenges have no part in. But such an inevitable niche for most plays well into a system opposing any change that might threaten the hold cartels have on business and industry, not to mention monetary systems.
So what do I recommend over education at the hands of these “knowledge” manipulators? Libraries. Self-education and journeys to see into experiences we make for ourselves. If you really find someone worthy of your time as a seated professor, audit their class. But be selective, most are a waste of time...even when they may have written something worthwhile. Keep on the move, always to find something better. And you will.
Give up status for knowing and you will attain both.
