I have a student in one of my classes who unfortunately was born with a slight physical deformity. One of his ears was folded over and closed. Because of this, he has always had pronunciation problems. Those pronunciation issues also caused a lack of confidence in class. He speaks super soft when reading and answering questions. At first glance, he does not seem like the best student in the class.
However, he has an amazing grasp on art. His ability is incredible. It seems he has shifted his ability to communicate with words to pencil and paper. Below is his latest masterpiece.
Thankfully, he has already had surgery on his ear earlier this year. However, his pronunciation still needs work, but is getting better and better all the time. His art, though, it getting by leaps and bounds. I due hope in the future, he invests in this skill.
Thanks for reading.
