He called her abnormal, there was nothing normal about her gaze, the look in her eyes nor her demeanor
He asked, how could you respond to things the way you do? It seems nothing moves you, Its almost like you feel nothing, You are like an unshakable rock
She smiled and replied she has seen it all
There's nothing new, its all a cycle that goes on and on
He opened his mouth to speak but no words came out
So he walked away, thinking to himself
What a cold hearted woman she is
He prayed he never came across another soul as unhappy and damaged as she was
But what he doesn't know is,
That unhappy soul wasn't always so
Once she thrived and basked in every sunrise
Once she smiled as she felt her heart beat, she was happy to be alive till the day her dreams died, she died with it
Life lost its meaning, there was nothing more to live for when her joy was cut short
He doesn't know she struggles too, her demeanor might be cold but she's repeatedly fighting to survive
Every sunrise is torture now but she's holding on, the walls she put around herself are there to keep her warm. People go through life never finding true love and they think that's sad, the know nothing of the pain of having it all and losing your most treasured gem to the cold hands of death, to wake up every morning and be faced with the reality that they are never coming back, nobody knows about the ocean of tears she cries when the night comes and she can't hide from the memories that flood her like an ocean current
He knows nothing about the picture on her nightstand that she can't sleep without kissing goodnight
He has no idea of how ecstatic she once felt in the arms of the one in the picture on her nightstand
Most days she just tiptoe and float through life, she is broken but she is tired so she doesn't fight the feeling of defeat. She thrives in her pain, to her its okay not to be okay....
