This applies to steem so much. Not giving up and doing what makes you happy. Steem is difficult for new users, and to climb and claw your way to the top is so difficult, but if you enjoy doing that and you're spending your time on social media anyways communicating back abd forth with your friends it shouldn't be bad! Giving up is slow suicide I totally agree. If you love it keep your head up, it's worth the struggle
