On the pole-to-pole electric scars that follow the magnetic field lines of Earth

You can see that Earth tectonics follows the typical toroidal spiral pattern of a magnetic field. Electric currents prefer to align with magnetic field lines, the path of least resistance, Lorentz force law. The mid oceanic rifts as electrical scarring, from an electrical discharge event, therefore follow the magnetic field lines.
