Hey guys! Just thought i would share with you a small introduction into a project which I've been working on over the past few weeks. I have always been fond of the idea behind automated vehicles, and i have decided to challenge myself and try to build my very own!

--> Below is an updated image of the vehicle in all of its glory!

So to make the sensors i have compiled together many online sources and schematics to build a sensor which will switch off when an object is present between 5-10cm. Using an Arduino for processing i created some code to determine when an object is present, along with making informed decisions to avoid that object.

--> These are the completed sensors which are fitted on the front and left/right sides of the vehicle

So to conclude, my next goal is to get the Bluetooth module (First image) working to allow both Automated and user control modes. I would love some feedback from people in these fields to help me out! Thanks everyone! Have a great day! :)

loverly soldering :p

Good project, but here's a tip for the sensors: you should put something dark between the emitter and the IR receiver, it prevents side interference.
