In any marketing campaign, be recruiting or headhunting or just selling Job Search Services, you need to reach the right market & audience the fastest possible before others do, as well as to establish long term positioning.
I will not go into explaining what I have done the past 15 years, because technology, people & internet practices/products have change radically.
I will go directly into what I am currently doing:
First thing, I mount my Marketing Post on the Blockchain Free Publishing Platform Steemit.com which even pays me for posting in the first place.
From there, I proceed to blast Twitter, Facebook & LinkedIn for a total combined blast power of about 50,000 people
A this point I have spend nothing at all. Not even a Penny, Dime or Altcoin nor any Steem. What I do next depends on what I have on hands, and I have to decide weather or not blast email marketing or Cloud Marketing.
- Email Marketing recently increase prices by 1,000% so I am holding on basic plans of not more than 100K and the rest on variable cost. Typically I spend chunks of $20´ and you will see why. In terms of this technology I have at my disposal: https://sendpulse.com, http://sendgrid.com, and http://group-mail.com. I stopped using Mandril https://mailchimp.com
- In terms of Cloud Digital Marketing I have at my disposal: http://facebook.com/international.jobsearch and https://www.linkedin.com/company-beta/633494/ from where I can blast any target just based on my budget constraints. In Facebook I blast Boost 1000´s impressions per $5 or $10 and then, I measure how it compares with LinkedIn Sponsored Content, typically at $25 per 1000´s impressions. It happens that depending on what you want to achieve and the location target, Linkedin may be more cheap & efficient than Facebook. The othe way around, is valid, too.
Sometimes I used both at the same time. Specially when I am acting in Recruiting or Headhunting Mode.
On my experience using the two technologies simultaneous {Email Marketing & Cloud Marketing} is what achieves the fastest results. I see them as complementary to one another.
Email Marketing & Facebook is kind of Bombing Tora Bora, while using LinkedIn Sponsored content is like sending the Snipers to the Field. In theory these technologies are my assistants.
