It’s World Emoji Day, how will you celebrate?
Up there with the most random of international days of celebration, World Emoji Day is today, July 17th
Emojis serve a similar function to initiation and gesturing in spoken language.
Faces, flags and finger pointing allow you to pretty much communicate whatever message you wish in Emoji speak these days.
So it seemed like a natural step for the founder of the Emojipedia - the creator of World Emoji Day, Jeremy Burge, to get the world to join forces and swap letters for pictures and today is that day.
Why? Well because July 17 is famously displayed on the iOS Calendar Emoji, which makes it perfect date for World Emoji Day.
This is the third year that World Emoji Day has been celebrated but it would seem 2016 is by far the most successful. People tweeting, the news been all over the media(International)
