Reduce Inflammation In The Bronchial Tubes

in emphysema •  9 months ago
Based on the duration of the symptoms that appear, bronchitis in children can be categorized into 2 types, namely acute and chronic bronchitis. Acute bronchitis is more often the result of a bacterial or viral infection. In general, viral infections in the respiratory tract can heal within 10–14 days. The most lethal type of respiratory disease is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Chronic bronchitis lasts a long time and can recur. Chronic bronchitis is caused by constant irritation, such as from smoking. Acute bronchitis lasts only a short time. However, there are several types of medication that can help you control the symptoms of this disease. Treatment aims to relieve the symptoms of shortness of breath, reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes, and improve lung function to keep working optimally. * Bronchodilators, which are drugs that help loosen the airway, improve ciliary function, and increase mucus (mucus) hydration * Glucocorticoids, which are drugs that function to reduce inflammation and the formation of mucus.

Most cases of acute bronchitis resolve without treatment, usually within a few weeks. To help the recovery process, sufferers are advised to drink plenty of fluids and get enough rest.
