Now I think fitness is too popular, let’s talk about its negative effects. Fitness is an activity that is beneficial to both physical health and mental state, but excessive fitness may bring about a series of negative effects. When people overly pursue the perfect body or athletic performance, they may ignore their body's signals and turn fitness into an unhealthy hobby.

Excessive exercise can lead to excessive fatigue of the body. Frequent high-intensity training and insufficient rest periods prevent muscles from fully recovering, increasing the risk of injury. Chronic overtraining may also affect the immune system, making a person more susceptible to illness.

Mental health may also be at risk. Excessive fitness is often accompanied by unrealistic pursuit of body shape, which can lead to self-esteem issues, anxiety and depression. Additionally, people may feel isolated in their social lives because they spend most of their time in the gym.

Excessive fitness may have an adverse effect on the body's hormone balance, leading to irregular menstruation, sexual dysfunction and other problems, especially among women.

I feel that fitness is an important health activity, but it must be done carefully to avoid the negative effects of overdoing it on your physical and mental health. It takes balance, listening to your body's cues, and taking regular breaks to really benefit from fitness activity.
