Encephalitic mite - protect yourself from bite

in encephalitis •  7 years ago

In a month, this topic will be relevant.

As soon as spring comes and the sun warms, the forest evil creeps out into the light of the world - encephalitic mites.

I remember those times when it was rare to bring a mite out of the woods on my body, moreover, even biting into the skin. But now these creatures have so bred that it is not possible to live a day to not meet this little bloodsucker.

Residents of cities easier. Pick up the tick is possible only in parks or when going to the countryside, but villagers meet them every day. In addition, pets drag them on their wool an uncounted number. Even if the animal is treated with insecticacaricidal drops, the mites still creep and cling to their skin.

More than 10 years ago, we forest workers were vaccinated against ticks. It was a triple inoculation for 5 years. And then there really was such a vaccine. But, physicians, and the management of forestry enterprises considered that such a vaccination is not advisable, since in the course of five years there is a large staff turnover and many simply can not make the final vaccination. But many of our employees, including me, have passed this program to the end and now the need to take root every year has disappeared. Now there is another vaccine that needs to be vaccinated every year.

In Belarus, any resident can apply to the hospital, pay money and be vaccinated.

A couple of years ago, my friend, a great lover of berries, besides a medical man with experience, I flatly refused to my arguments that I still should be cuddled. I was motivated by the fact that there was practically no clothes in the forest, only shorts and a T-shirt, and she would immediately feel how the tick would crawl along it. But at one point she called me and said that she had found a red spot on her back. The analysis showed that she had borreliosis.

Borreliosis is not fatal, but still in the infectious disease will have to lie around.

For those who still do not want to get vaccinated, a little advice.

-Do not put white clothes in the woods at all. For a tick, a light red cloth, like a red rag, will jump instantly.

-After walking in nature, be sure to inspect your clothes and yourself for the presence of ticks. And animals should be carefully combed out with a special comb.

-Stand to use sprays and creams from bloodsucking insects.

-If the tick sucked into the body, it is better to go to the hospital. Not every tick is contagious, but it is better to get qualified help.

I do not know how many times a vaccine helped me, but the mites do not react to me. Maybe I'm not tasty. (fie-fie-fie)
