Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018

I couldn’t let 2017 end without posting, at the very least, a single thought to the STEEM blockchain. So here it is: I’ve been a member of Steeemit since June 2017, but yet, I’m making my first post during the final thirty-minutes, of the last hour, on the last day of the year. This procrastination has been a microcosm of my twenties. Now that I’m 29 and rapidly approaching the end of my twenties, it’s easy to reflect back and see this pattern emerge in a lot of different areas in my life. Like most things — it’s come down to a choice: run and continue to do much of the same; or—change the pattern from avoiding the obstacle, to embracing it.

To add a little context, I’m sitting in my car in the middle of Hollywood (about a half block from the Palladium Theater) typing this up on my on my tablet. I’m driving UBER while I can raise the funds to pay-off debt, get my laptop out of the pawn shop, and get-on with creating valuable content and help grow this community.

People have described insanity as doing the same thing but yet, expecting different results. So instead, I’ll conclude 2017 with owning that my results are the sum of my decisions, and from this moment on, I’m deciding to do different— to do better. Bring on 2018!
