NOTE: This guide only applies if you have transferred funds from one account to another. And that you own both accounts. In other words, you know the private key of both the sender and the receiver.
Hello guys! I found a solution in MyEtherWallet(MEW) in cases where you sent Ethereum or Tokens to the wrong account which you don't have access becuase of a mistyped private key.
So what happend was that I was opening both my accounts containing the tokens and the new wallet I'm suppose to send tokens into to get the public key. But without knowing, in the first place, I mistyped the private key of the wallet where I was suppose to send the tokens. So after sending all the tokens in my old wallet to the new wallet, I rested for about 15 minutes and returned to check my new wallet. I entered my new wllet's private key and I was like, "WHAT THE F*CK? WHERE ARE MY TOKENS?" I was shocked and was very nervous seeing my new wallet empty. So I retype the private key again and still did'nt see my tokens. I then realize that I must have entered the wrong private key in the very beginning. So I searched the web for any kind of solution and found one solution in MEW.
In MEW, they have created a solution for mistyped private key. And to access this, you just have to scroll down and look for "Unit Converters & ENS Debugging" on the bottom-right corner.
Then click on it, and it should open a new tab for "https://www.myetherwallet.com/helpers.html".
Under this page, this is where you will find the solution. Just scroll down to the bottom until you see this.
And all you have to do is enter your new wallets private key on the "Private Key that isn't unlocking correct address" field, and the wrong public key that received your tokens on the "Address You Sent To" field.
(NOTE: To get the WRONG PUBLIC KEY, just review your PREVIOUS TRANSACTION HASH on the old wallet.)
And enter "Start the Search!" button. Wait for a few seconds and it should give you the private key of the wrong wallet under the "Actual Private Key" field.
(NOTE: This tool only works if you mistyped 1 character only. If you mistyped 2 characters, then it will give you a result "Sorry not found :(" on the "Actual Private Key" Field.)
