Drunk celebrities on The Graham Norton Show

in entertainment •  8 years ago

There's no other TV show out there that is more fun than the Graham Norton show, hosted by, obviously, Graham Norton. It is so very different from the standard shows you might have seen. The host, first of all, is never intimidated by any of his guests; that makes the punchlines and jokes more raw and funny. It may be out of line, at times, but Graham's warmth can easily subdue the awkwardness. And most of the guests are also 'game' to playing along those otherwise humiliating or embarrassing topics.

Another great aspect of the show is the show's not-rigid atmosphere. You can feel that the celebrities feel at ease and comfortable sitting on the red couch opposite Graham. The overflowing drinks help that fact. It's an hour-long show and you will feel like you are watching people who are friends having some fun at a bar. It can get crazy as the spirits of alcohol reach the guests' systems -- which is always a delight to see really.

Drunk Matt Damon, Hugh Boneville, and Bill Murray

Two of the funniest episodes are the one with Matt Damon, Hugh Boneville, and Bill Murray, and the one with Mark Wahlberg, Sarah Silverman, and Michael Fassbender. The first with Damon had so many highlights, from Bill Murray's contagious chuckling and laughing, to Hugh Boneville's "lippy" on Top Gear, to Mr. Boneville taking a bathroom break ("I gotta take a pee"), to them dropping Ms. Paloma Faith on the ground. Even the short appearance of Paloma at the end was chukle-worthy.

Drunk Mark Wahlberg fondling Norton

Mark Wahlberg's, on the other hand, was funny in a different way. He got so drunk that he started flirting/annoying/insulting Ms. Silverman, while Michael Fassbender was trying his hardest to be nice on the other side of the couch. Wahlberg then stood up at one time and sat on Graham's lap, then carressed and fondled Graham's nipple. It was so awkward and funny even the memory of it makes me laugh.

And last, but not the least, I love the fact that every episode features an actor comedian/ienne or standup artist. It makes the show more hilarious. On top of mind, Julie Walters, Miriam Margoyles, and Jack Whitehall, among many others were some of the funniest.

Here's a sneak preview of the Matt Damon episode (series 14, episode 18)

Nice!

Gotta love Matt Damon

He's awesome. And he's so down to earth from what I heard.
