Children at a school asked to put duct tape in their mouths for an exciting reason

Children may be the most pure and innocent beings in the world. Little beings are living proof that prejudice and the twisted vision of differences come from without. This is born of the learning we have received over the course of our lives. Children from a school in Brasilia, Federal District, gave a great example of acceptance and inclusion.

They have demonstrated that it is possible to live and accept the differences of others perfectly. They have once again proved to the world that they can not hate one person, or rather another child simply because it is different from what they know to be "normal."

The Cresca School is located in the South Wing of Brasilia. The case happened in the second year of elementary school. The school showed through the social networks an action that started from the students themselves and was carried out by Professor Cynthia Rosal.

After the children saw fellow Miguel Gadelha, who has Down syndrome, using some tapes stuck in his face because of a treatment that aims to strengthen muscle tone, they asked Consuelo Carvalho to use them as well. Their attitude was important to show the classmate that they were together and that they were the same despite the differences.

The commotion

After the initiative, Professor Cynthia was so moved that she decided that from that moment on, twice a week, that is, the days that little Miguel had his physiotherapies, the whole class would use adhesive tapes on their faces. The teacher, even, already leaves everything ready for when the day arrives. This method was very special because it shows Miguel that he is part of the class and contributes to his inclusion. The boy's father only learned the story after it was shared thousands of times on Facebook. This is incredible.
