A 3-day workshop organized for Entrepreneurs in Ghana has come to an end at iSpace Foundation, a Tech Hub in Accra , Ghana. The workshop, dubbed, Ayada Lab was organized to train Entrepreneurs in various Business Development Skills.
For three days, Entrepreneurs who took part in this training workshop were given various tips on how their businesses can thrive in modern world where numerous competition abounds. The first time I wrote about Ayada Lab was when the call was sent out for applications. In all, over 100 Startups applied but, siphoned down to the best 35 Startups.
The Ayada Lab workshop was an intense process where entrepreneurs learned what it takes to operate a Startup. The 3-days workshop tackled 5 points:
- Definition of Problem
- Create solution using the ideas of Design thinking and latest trends in Technology
- Validate your assumptions
- Build a business model or prototype that demonstrates your idea and
- Pitch your business idea.
On the first day, participants were introduced to the Business Model Canvas and various marketing practices for Startups. On the second day however, facilitators sent participants through various channels of communications a startup can utilize to increase their brand awareness and reach. On the final day, startups were made to Pitch their business infront of panel of judges.
Successful startups will be given the opportunity to pitch their business ideas in front of investors in Berlin after 12-months incubation program.
