This is my required blog at the University of Florida...

For this exercise, I'd like you reflect on the past two months. In your post for this exercise, pretend that you're talking to a student from next semester's course. What would you tell them?

Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?

- This class is the definition of time management and I agree every business student needs to master this task. Every week we have multiple assignments due which require attention to detail. Not only do we have weekly assignments due, we also have weekly quizzes going over the lectures.

Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?

- During Hurricane Irma I had little desire to work on schoolwork. My family and my job at that time took priority over my school assignments. I realized just how important some things are in those two weeks. The experience of living without power for over a week was just the start of the “exciting” experiences from Hurricane Irma.

Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?

- Keep everything in a planner to stay organized.

- Link your college schedule to your phone so you can get updates.

- Spend at least 1 hour a day working on your class work. You will be glad you did.

- Read books from people that think outside of the box.

- Take the time to educate yourself about entrepreneurs.
