Assignment 26A – Celebrating Failure....#University-of-FloridasteemCreated with Sketch.

Our friend, Thomas Edison, once remarked -- rather famously! -- that he didn't fail to invent the lightbulb 1,000 times. No! He just discovered 1,000 ways that didn't work.

In this exercise, bare your soul.

1) Tell us about a time this past semester that you failed -- whether in this class, or outside of this class. Don't spare any details! It'd be even better if there was something you tried several times this semester, and failed each time.

During the semester I have been tested with failures not only in my work career, but also as a student. This semester has been hard to balance my priorities in life from work, school, and personal time. I have been very focused on succeeding in my studies that I have lost one of my top clients.

2) Tell us what you learned from it.

I have learned that I need to balance my workload better. I should have spent more time with the client instead of focusing on my last semester at the University of Florida. I will have to work harder now to find a new top client.

3) Reflect, in general, on what you think about failure. Failure is hard, isn't it? It's embarrassing, sure, but it also means that we have to change something about ourselves. Talk about how you handle failure (emotionally, behaviorally). # Finally, talk about how this class has changed your perspective on failure -- are you more likely to take a risk now than you were just a few months ago?

Failure is hard to take, but at the same time failure gives you the best learning experiences. With each thing I fail at, and there’s a lot, I always try to find out why it happened and how can I can prevent it next time. Even if I fail at the same task again, I see if I improved any the second time. This principles to entrepreneurship class reiterated that failure is ok, and sometimes the best ideas are created from failure. After this class I am more eager to take risks. I think all Gators should take on a little risk and buy some Bitcoin.
