Costing about $114.7 million, the project is expected to revive almost 3,000 acres of marsh, making it “by far the largest” wetland creation project the state has led, Haase said.

Interesting article about a couple of really big coastal restoration projects in South Louisiana and what the benefits from them might be. This is great news for all nature lovers as this is badly needed to preserve the coast. The only thing that I would suggest is to make sure there's a fresh water diversion from the River to continue add sediment to teh area, I'm not sure if that is going to happen or not.....
