I do what I can. I recycle everything in sight, but I see others who don't. I use old plastic bottles and other containers around the garden, but haven't built a greenhouse yet. With the few bottles we use it would take about 50 years to get enough ;)

Yes, I did look and I admire the people taking such positive action. There are people such as my cousin making some great efforts, but the amount of waste is overwhelming. We need to have less of it in the first place. The UK has made some steps in reducing the number of carrier bags by imposing a charge, but I've been reusing bags for many years anyway. I am by no means perfect or even close, but I have been doing something for as long as I have been aware of the issues.
There is a lot we can do to deal with existing waste, but cottage industry won't even dent it. Big industry will just do what is profitable.
I want more people to care about making a better world and to be willing to do something about it.
