Newbies - Using Scatter to vote for EOS BPs

How can we select how many EOS token to use for voting?
Using Scatter.
It worked for 1st 17 votes (I think anyway, not sure where to verify my votes got in)
And now it won't Pair my Scatter to Eosportal.io

need some guidance...

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    You can't split right now, until the chain is activated (>15% votes) all your EOS are staked for voting.
