    the freezing of the accounts was to stop phishing attempts by scammers, it was to prevent funds from being stolen, think of it like steem's stolen account recovery feature but more advanced.

    The "freezing" of accounts was to HELP those account holders ... EOS is showing it has responsible governance that respects private property, if you don't like it you don't have to participate.
