EOS BPs Meetup in Shanghai

On May 29th, 2018, EOS BPs MEETUP was held in Naked Hub Xintiandi, on 380 HuangPi Nan Lu, Shanghai.

It was such an amazing seminar where EOS BPs from all over the world got together and shared their ideas and inspirations about the coming mainnet launch and the long-term future of EOS. Over 100 EOS fans, developers and investors attended this meetup, and gave their very welcome to the attending super BPs candidates.

The meetup was organized and held by EOS Nation, Canada(@eosnation). EOS Nation is an EOS super BP candidate from Canada. They are a group of EOS followers, who did great job in the draft of "EOS Constitution" with Thomas Cox, and still helped to optimize it. And for the first time, they came along from Canada and brought latest news and progresses of the most remarkable project in the world. Besides, EOS Nation invited other EOS super BPs to this exciting meetup, including EOS Asia, EOS Real, Meet One, EOS Canon, EOS Gravity and EOS Stark.




The meetup was full of brilliance. Yves La Rose, one of the co-founders of EOS Nation, was a man of intelligence and passion. He introduced detailedly the functions of BPs and of course, their fabulous EOS team. He said, EOS Nation was early followers of EOS and spared no efforts to make it a better platform. Unbelievably, they didn't have any VCs or ICO. They were self-funded, purely out of love for EOS and belief for an open community. Most importantly, EOS Nation promised they would keep going on whether they were eventually elected super BP or not.



During the meetup, Yves explained that the aims of EOS Nation were to build a bridge between East and West. For thousands of years, East and West were divided as two civilizations where cultural difference and living background prevented people's collaboration. But now here came EOS platform! It was such a huge, decentralized platform and an open source, free community that enabled people all over the world take part in a joint project, share their inspirations and motivate each other.



In addition, there was a Q&A part where representatives from 7 super BP candidates had an open chat with EOS fans, investors and developers. Obviously, people were so interested at the amazing project that they asked a lot of questions about security, forks, mainnet launching and dAPP development. And representatives were also glad to share their thoughts and judgements about the future of EOS and its potential value.
