Hehe, cool. I was expecting something as mindblowing as this at first.

or this. ^^

Uh thanks! Its Webgl
angel.co/miner-disruption

So basically the ethereum shape... extended — much like EOS functionality. Smart.

Opening up the point of the pyramid can be thought of as decentralizing power.

This shape is also the underlying geometric structure of the human heart; EOS is a blockchain with a heart.

sounds interesting for sure.

Dan, if you had to sum up EOS in one sentence for a newbie, what would you say?

EOS is the blockchain for building commercial scale decentralized applications that are indistinguishable from centralized alternatives.

can it do side chains?

Yes

Is the smart contract programming language Turing complete?

Will there be any bonus EOS shares giveaway for Steem users, like it had been done during Golos crowdsale?

He mentioned last time that there will be no sharedrop.

i thought that was exactly what bitshares graphene was.

thanks!

Technologically, Bitshares is said to be better than Ethereum.
Now, EOS is to be better than Ethereum.
What now of Bitshares and EOS, which is better?

Now I like the sound of this!

Hi Dan, sounds like a cool project. Unique paralyzable commercial scale dapps platform with an abundance of capacity.

EOS is programming and scheduling like a simple computer on blockchain. It means more dynamic changing blockchains.. EOS allows for more frequent and less expensive transactions with quick conformations (like voting).

This makes it easier for designers to do something then set it free to live on the blockchain. Free market forces help make inventions that are free for everyone, but do your homework and keep the bar high ..

Dan is really into decentralized governance which we need to save the word (seriously governments are falling apart everywhere). Governance is a word I'm having to give new meaning too just so I can say that word!! Lol This will be interesting...

EOS sounds awesome, but I would really like to learn more about governance applications and models. For example, here in Cincinnati, we really need a new high traffic bridge. It isn't getting done. I'm sure it is too early for crypto solution quite yet, but what an opportunity to out compete that old dinosaur with voluntary solutions.

I know there must be a way to build a system(s) to fund, source and manage this sort of project, but I certainly don't have the mental bandwidth to put the pieces together.

I'm anxious to see some of these things start to materialize.

I am sold.

Lol, blockchain with a heart...
Sounds so cute and cuddly
I want some

as ive made first steemit group on telegram

now i made group for english speakers - http://t.me/eosworld join in!

Please join this link its the official Public telegram group for EOS https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAEQbOeucnaMWN0A9dQ

I scooped you to the chase on that one haha, please join this telegram group, its the official EOS telegram public chat Dan is the mod there. https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAEQbOeucnaMWN0A9dQ

my group doesnt have to be official - you can be official
its just similar to BTS/STEEM groups people wise so it has its own quality and usual people, its called EOS WORLD :)
anyways not sure if ive been scropped in numbers ]:)

You are winning the numbers game at the moment!! the more people building the community and the more ways it expresses itself the better!!

Glad you choose Steemit for EOS blog.

It's a pretty good logo.

I like what you did to the space, and with primary colors too (you might want to rearrange the order to match "RGB, red, green, blue as that will be recognizable to graphics artists, publishers as well as computer nerds).

what does "Four Block" mean? And what is a 'Title Sponsor'?

I suppose one of the bigger sponsors after main sponsors...

A title sponsor is a patron of an event that provides money, goods, or services in exchange for the exclusive right to have the patron’s name appear prominently before the title of the event. The patron is usually a corporation or other type of business but can also be a famous person, country, public agency, or any other entity that has the ability to contract for sponsorship rights. Title sponsorship is typically the most prestigious class of sponsorship offered by event organizers and requires the most significant investment in the event.

Special events present important marketing opportunities for any company that wants to promote itself or its products. Prominent events are vehicles for companies to associate their names and products with something that has a certain prestige factor and a captured audience with cognizable demographics. Event organizers take advantage of this natural synergy by packaging opportunities to associate with particular aspects of the event. These opportunities for affiliation are called sponsorships.

Sponsorships are marketing opportunities that event organizers sell to raise money. These opportunities are often presented by level of investment. Each sponsorship level requires a certain monetary or other type of contribution to the event and offers in exchange either exclusive or non-exclusive acknowledgment of the company’s patronage. A title sponsor is often the highest level opportunity and provides a company with the exclusive right to have its name featured in conjunction with the title of the event.

ah, very comprehensive answer. Thanks.

This is more like an ascethic mention than an introduction.
Guys, may I ask for some more info?

Honestly, if not @dantheman, who is known for his previous, successful projects, such intro would be considered as another empty shell made by teenage logo designer

Opening up the point of the pyramid can be thought of as decentralizing power. This shape is also the underlying geometric structure of the human heart; EOS is a blockchain with a heart.

.... enlightened or stoned.

:)

Give us more info please!

just kidding, logo is nice

Will the whitepaper be released on the same day?
Also, will there be a live-stream of the launch by any chance?

Thanks!

ReSteemed.

Looks like Ethereum Operating System!( Another variant - Electro-Optical System, but Canon will object)

I'm really just here to learn but wow, that's a mind blowing concept

I expect this project to be quite huge with plenty of deep pocket investors.
Im looking forward to all the upcoming information and crowdsale details.
Are you planning marketing bounties?

We have discussed several ideas!

Cool. Well i followed this account for updates. But steemit gets kind of a cluttered feed and i will probably miss anouncements.
Will you have a thread on bitcointalk?

EOS might be the first ICO I ever participate in.
