EOS Phishing

It certainly looks “Phishy”

So I get this email about an EOS airdrop:

EOS Rewards Airdrop is now Live

EOS was launched as a blockchain 2.0 platform for enterprise and since our launch in June of 2017, we have been working around the clock to launch our main net. Today, we are proud to announce that the platform is ready and working as envisioned.

Our community has been the most influential player in bringing EOS to the masses and we would like to reward all of our holders for their loyalty and support.

Today, we are officially launching the EOS Rewards Airdrop - the biggest rewards campaign ever seen, with a gross 5,000,000 EOS tokens waiting to be claimed by our community members.

We like to always be one step in front of the competition, so not only will we be distributing tokens to EOS holders, but also to ETH holders - so that EOS will have the widest range of holders in the crypto space.

Follow the instructions on our website and claim your EOS tokens before they sell out!

Thank you for supporting us and stay tuned for our next announcements!

It gets more suspicious when you look at the link:

https://ẹos.com/airdrop/

  • It is not from Block.one or eos.io
  • The e of eos has a point under it
  • The project is not listed, it just states “airdrop”

So again I am not the most savvy of blockchainers, however this does not feel correct or even look correct.

Am I correct?

Or can someone correct me?

Don’t click it. Looks sketchy

No I did not try this, some people however will as greed is very strong in some. The lure of free is a powerful motivator for people and some feed on this.

Personally I am satisfied just holding EOS, I do not need airdrops or to try to exploit it. I plan to use mine and did not purchase only for gains.

probably there will be a lot of phishing, that seems to be a thing on the net, people with no hope for humanity finding gaps to exploit ... oh well, it would have been more funny if they were issuing a ICO :D 5mils :D

I'm sure if you follow the official channels you would be better off that following bot tips ...

@kyusho, When in doubt, stay away! I learned the hard way and now just trying to spread the word. Stay safe!
